Yes I am aware that I haven't blogged for about a week now.
I've been extremely busy and tired over the week due to work.
By the time I get home I just wanna lay down and sleeeeeep
Until I have to wake up for work the next day.
So yup. My life is literally
Work > Sleep > Work > Sleep > Work > Sleep.
Okay so before I go on yammering about the boring shit in my life,
here's the MANYYY days I've missed of the blogging challenge
Day 11: 10 favourite foods
YAY THIS IS GONNA BE FUN
1. Sushi
2. Pasta [any kind, as long as it tastes good hehe]
3. Baked Rice
4. Mozzarella cheese sticks

Honestly the list goes WAAAAAY beyond 10.
But I just listed the first 10 that came into my head.

Day 12: Your favourite childhood book
Book?! Damn I read a lot of books as a child.
But I have to say that one of my favourites is definitely

Day 13: What's inside your fridge.
Okay I always like to say this to my friends
"My fridge is mostly empty. If anything good is placed inside,
it'll be gone the next day and my dad and I will fight over it"
HAHAHA Actually not that true
Because we still have a few bars of chocolate inside.
Hehehe.
Hmm let me try to remember
Chocolate bars, famous amos cookies, eggs
and a lot of weird stuff my mum puts inside that I never open
Okay yes I can't remember anything

Day 14: 3 healthy habits
Okay I definitely have at least 3.
- I drink a LOT of water and not so much of sweet drinks
- I go gymming and running whenever I can
- I never ever eat till I'm 100%, I actually stop before I even hit 70%. Like 60/50%?
Coz I know I will snack on other stuff like digestives and fruits later on .

Day 15: Where will you be in 5 years.
Hopefully not in Singapore. Enough said.
Day 16: Thoughts on education
Singapore's education?
It's so screwed up. Pretty much every single student is so stressed out.
During the holidays, all they do is continue studying.
During the school term, they stay up overnight studying or doing projects
Till the wee hours,
and are still expected to be as alert and attentive as though they've had ample rest
the next day.
Everyone only cares about results,
And whether or not you're able to land into a junior college.
Sorry, I know that people always say that nowadays poly is the equal of a jc.
However that is so untrue. I know of SO many people [in church, unfortunately]
who look down on me because I'm studying in a polytechnic.
Okay wait, let me just say this first.
I HAD ENOUGH POINTS TO GET INTO A JC BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO.
Jeesh.
And I'm super sure that I'm not the only case like that.
Basically people like me,
we CAN'T survive in a junior college setting, and we know it.
So we choose the poly route. Not because we want the easy way out,
but because
a) we know what we wanna do
b) we know if we head to jc we will end up dropping out and going to poly
Also, the creative side isn't being embraced.
They always say that it is, and they are trying to make it such that black and white certification would not be as important anymore,
but no matter what you say,
it will always be extremely important.
Because we've been wired that way since young.
Singapore's education also needs to learn to branch out past Southeast Asia.
Okay maybe not singapore in general because I know that several schools do offer opportunities for students to go out of Southeast Asia to study.
I'm just gonna say in the context of my course in Singapore Polytechnic.
Honestly we all know that media isn't exactly a very big thing in Singapore.
There is only one media channel.
Not only that,
we all know that media is big in places like LA and London.
But we're only offered trips to MALAYSIA Starcomm.
Really?
And you expect us to pay $800 for that, no way.
Why is SP limiting the DMC students so much, I don't know
I'm sure they have their reasons, but I'm just saying that
maybe if we are exposed to other places,
it would benefit us greatly.
Okay sorry I shall stop rambling now.

HAHAHA I am so sorry.
But I do have a fair bit to update about in my boring life.
So first up, LBC!
I cannot reveal a lot about it because we need to keep it a secret from the future batches that will experience our LBC, but all I can say is that it's an amazing experience and you should go if you're given the chance.
And also, being the warden for this camp was a very new and interesting experience ;)

So after the movie I met up with Jolene and Alvin and
we slept over at Jolene's place
We talked, sang songs, watched totoro and ate maggi mee.

Thursday - DANIELLE'S BIRTHDAY CHALET!
It was loads of fun.
A little awkward at first, but eventually I started to talk to Nasir,
whom I've actually never really talked to before besides during CASS FOC
When he was training me and the other victors to be GLs (:
Through the chalet I got to know Nasir and Yong a lot better
and I'm extremely thankful for that.
Also, the people who stayed over had a lot of fun
Karaoke-ing and "Clubbing" to HSM songs
HAHAHAH such fun times.

So after swimming, the peeps from DMC 05 went home

Next up, Saturday!
Had work at 430 - 1130.
Did my very first set ever - Shrek & Fiona!
Then at night I got to do Transformers and Madagascar Boogie
with my beloved Shermane <3
First day of work and I get to work with her.
YAY
After that I did Puss in Boots alone,
my very first set alone.
It was really fun actually.

Super excited to work on Tuesday,
though it would probably be a lot more scary than fun.
I ended up reaching home at 130
Because Jolene and her lead decided to send me home
So sweet of them <3
So on the way home.
Jolene asked me this
"Eh Val, you breathe in helium is it"
Because my voice was higher than the past few days
Actual fact, NO I DID NOT INHALE HELIUM.
MY SORE THROAT JUST GOT BETTER.

Hahahaha so anyways I had a nice conversation with Jolene on the car ride back

Okay so today I went for church, then went to work at the cafe.
Honestly I was really dreading it and was so tired and just wanted to go home and crash.
Oh my goodness when I went to work I found motivation to keep going and to work hard.
I swear.
I've found a new eye candy. HAHAHAHAHHAH
Yes the motivation is always a guy[for a girl], or a girl [for a guy] [unless you're gay]
He's so cute I swear.
And he's extremely friendly.
Only downside - HE THOUGHT I WAS 20 :l
Alright then.
Hahah but I said he was 22 so that makes it even [he's 19]
Damn he's really super cute and friendly.
If only I were prettier and was able to get his attention like that.
Did I mention, he went off without saying bye, then like.
Somehow 5 minutes later I saw him at the entrance again.
Then he saluted to me and I waved back.
